October 26, 2007, LOUISVILLE, KY– SoCo
returns to sponsor its eighth Voodoo Music Experience as co-host of the
local music stage October 26-28. The WWOZ/SoCo Stage honors the music of
the region and provides a stage for local musicians to share their
music at the festival. The SoCo/WWOZ Stage line-up includes includes
Toots and the Maytals, Dr. John, Troy“Trombone Shorty” Andrews,
Soul Rebels, Hot 8 Brass Band, Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk, Amanda Shaw,
along with a host of great live music performers.
“Voodoo Music Experience brings
groups of friends together for live music in one of the great music
cities in the world – New Orleans,” said Laura Petry,
Southern Comfort, Brand Manager. "Those coming out to the festival can
enjoy a frozen SoCo & Lime while having a good time listening to
performers from many different genres of music.”
This year’s Voodoo Music Experience
line-up features some of the best acts in music today, including Rage
Against the Machine, Smashing Pumpkins, Wilco, Black Crowes, Tiesto and
Kings of Leon, among others. For more information about the schedule,
tickets and the festival, please visit www.voodoomusicfest.com.
The support of the WWOZ/SoCo Stage
in the Le Flambeau area wraps up Southern Comfort’s backing of great
live music experiences in 2007. Besides Voodoo, SoCo has supported its
own SoCo Music Experiences, New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival,
Lollapalooza, Taste of Chicago and countless local live music events.
“Between our SoCo Music Experience
events and sponsoring other events, we’ve tried to build a collection of
wonderful live music experiences where friends can discover new music
together and see some of their favorites,” said Petry. "SoCo was
created in New Orleans, which as we all know is a melting pot of
cultures. These cultural traditions are reflected in our ongoing
support of diverse live music.”
SoCo Music Experience
With the goal of offering a free music experience
to groups of friends 21 years old and over, the SoCo Music Experience
showcases national performing acts and local favorites in an environment
that encourages a flow between stages, vendors and friends. SCMX
transforms an outdoor venue into a festival setting with food, poster,
t-shirt and record shop vendors and a unique SoCo Lime Lounge experience
featuring DJ Paul Bunyon in the SoCo & Lime Dome.

place in Atlanta, San Diego, Madison, St. Louis and Tempe. Acts
